“We just returned from a cruise in the eastern Mediterranean where we booked our own shore excursion (for ten) to Ephesus on the internet with Shore Excursions (Celsus Travel) out of the port in Kusadasi. We dealt directly with Burak Ocal who was fantastic! We immediately felt very comfortable making the Ephesus arrangements with him, so when he offered to help with tours in Istanbul after our cruise, we said why not.

We ended up booking another full day (for four) with a private driver and guide in Istanbul and then a two day private tour, with air transportation each way, to Cappadocia. He answered every email immediately - often in the middle of the night (!!) - and was a pleasure to work with. He was totally accommodating, has a great sense of humor and made whatever changes (there were many!) we requested.

The tours all went perfectly! In fact Burak was personally at the dock to greet us in Kusadasi with the guide. A nice touch. The cars, drivers and guides were all first class. There was always someone waiting to greet us and always on time - at the dock, the hotels or the airports. We made changes to our itineraries "on the fly" to accommodate weather, traffic, "dodging" the big tour buses, meals or even to get in a little "extra" hiking in Cappadocia. Total flexibility. He never requested money up front - so we paid for each segment of the tour at the end of the day. And we were not forced to visit all the "factories" along the way!”

“Last visited this part of the world over 24 years ago as part of a package holiday tour so decided this time to spend a little more time getting reacquainted with this beautiful city.
